Paul Lockyer - Ying Yong 英勇
Head Chen Tai Chi Instructor
Paul has been a practitioner and teacher of Martial Arts for over 16 years. He is a 12th Generation lineage holder and disciple of Chen Style Tai Chi under the teachings and guidance of Grandmaster Gou Kongjie. Beginning at the age of 25, he trained in Wing Tsun Kung Fu, Shaolin Gong Fu, various Qi Gongs, Bagua Zhang and now specialises in Chen Style Tai Chi. Interested in all aspects from self defence to the spiritual, Paul continues to further his knowledge for his own development and in particular his students. He has studied with such luminaries as 34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk Shifu Shi Yan Zi and 34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk Shifu Shi Yan Ming (Yanmin Chen) for Shaolin Gong Fu. Through workshops with Tai Chi masters Wang Hai Jun, Liming Yue and Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei Paul continued to expand his Tai Chi practise until finding his full time teacher Grandmaster Gou and taking discipleship with him. Paul began teaching with his old masters supporting people of various ages in class. He has taught and demonstrated on cruise ships, at private and corporate events, workshops, seminars nationwide, and has his own school here in Bournemouth. He has worked with various groups on a regular basis from Learning disabilities through to Parkinson's Disease and has even worked with performers in training, bringing together his knowledge of martial arts, movement and acting. Paul has a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and is at the master/teacher level of Reiki, treating and teaching throughout the year. He has judged Tai Chi, Kung Fu and San Shou at a number of events, notably at the Team Shaolin European Championships and for the British Shaolin Temple Association.

BCCMA British Championships - Gold & Silver Medals for hand and weapons forms. Various years.
British Tai Chi Open - Gold for Tai Chi hand form in mens open and bronze for mens Push Hands 80kg
SENI London Wushu Open - Gold Medal for Tai Ji hand forms and bronze for weapons, judged and awarded by GrandMaster Chen Zhenglei, 19th Generation successor of the Chen family and 11th Generation direct line inheritor of Chen Style Tai Chi. Paul has also coached a number of our students to Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in Tai Chi and Kung Fu hand and weapon forms at various competitions over the past few years.
Martine Niven - Chen Miao Shan 陈淼姍
Head Shaolin Kung Fu Instructor
Martine has been studying Martial Arts for over 22 years. She is a 35th Generation Shaolin Warrior Disciple under the guidance of 34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk Shifu Shi Yan Ming (Yanmin Chen). Training began in her youth with Karate and Wing Tsun Kung Fu. After a number of years she changed path, following the arts of Shaolin Gong Fu, Chen Style Tai Chi and Qi Gong; expanding her knowledge and training over time to Buddhist healing Qigong, Weapons, Bagua and Various hard Qi Gongs. She has taught regularly on Cruise ships, taken various private and corporate workshops and now runs Natural Elements Acupuncture and Tui Na Clinic here in Bournemouth, as a full time Acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner. Martine continues to train for the betterment of herself and her students; and now as a lineage holder of the world famous Shaolin tradition is responsible for practising and teaching the arts of Traditional Shaolin Gong Fu, Qi Gong, San Shou & Chan Buddhism. She also practises Chinese Medical Qi Gong, learnt whilst studying for her Acupuncture degree at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. Martine takes regular yearly trips to China to devote herself to the full time practise of Shaolin Kung Fu . She has worked closely with children as a resource worker from group projects to 1-1 supervision. As a First Aid representative, Referee and Judge, Martine has been involved in numerous Martial Arts events in particular for the BSTA (British Shaolin Temple Association).
